Big Emotions, Big Reactions: Understanding What Your Child is Really Communicating

This workshop focuses on helping parents understand what is often underneath behaviors like meltdowns, shutdowns, and big reactions during transitions. We will explore why these moments happen from a developmental perspective and how behavior is often a child’s way of communicating that they are overwhelmed, frustrated, or that they are still developing skills. Parents will leave with a clearer framework for understanding their child, along with practical strategies they can use in everyday situations, such as morning routines, transitions, sibling or peer conflicts, and emotional outbursts.
