Summer might be a few months away, but it’s that time of year when moms need to start thinking about summer plans. Any experienced mom knows that to stay sane during summer break; you must put those kiddos in camp! There are so many options to choose from. Whether your child is into sports, dance, performing arts, technology, or shows an interest in sleepaway camps, we’ve got you covered. Our fifth annual Summer Camp Guide provides the information you need to plan a fun and stress-free summer. Please support our sponsors.


National Computer Camp (NCC) is America’s original computer camp since 1977. Held at Fairfield University, NCC offers in-person, residential, day camps, and virtual camps. The coed campers ages 8-18 may attend 1, 2, or 3 weeks without repetition. The camp’s focus is coding, game design, Android App programming, and web page design. NCC offers beginner to advanced programming in several age-appropriate computer languages such as Java, C++, Python, and others. An optional recreation program is also available. Additional activities include building and flying a drone, Arduino computer lab, 3D printing, robotics, and chess. The camps are ideal for both experienced and first-time campers. NCC is not a summer school but a place where learning and fun are rolled into one. Scholarships are available, but funds are limited, so apply early.


next level sports academy
Next Level Sports Academy provides campers an opportunity to excel in the sport of their choice (ice hockey, soccer, basketball, and football), plus all the activities, spirit, and values of a traditional summer camp. Each camper will major in the sport of their choice and receive a high level of instruction and gameplay. They will also choose their minors (team and unique sports, waterfront activities, fitness, STEM Projects, broadcasting, and many more). This provides them with a personalized schedule they choose daily. The goal is to have campers improve their athletic abilities while gaining life skills for a successful future.

Rock Climb Fairfield

Rock Climb Fairfield likes keeping kids busy when they are out of school! RCF’s Climbing Camp programs are week-long indoor rock climbing programs designed for climbers of all abilities. Whether your climbers are new to the sport or ready to start climbing to the next level, this camp provides a fun and age-appropriate environment to build the fundamentals of indoor rock climbing. Camp activities include indoor rock climbing, knot tying, and various exciting climbing games. Full or half-day options are available, along with member and sibling discounts!


Long Ridge Camp
Founded in 1962, Long Ridge Camp is proud to celebrate 60+ years of special summers provided by the Alswanger family and their dedicated staff! Long Ridge Camp in Stamford is Fairfield County’s leading summer day camp, offering a traditional day camp experience to campers from Fairfield and Westchester Counties ages 3 to 14. Campers are offered various activities, adding up to a well-balanced experience, including sports, arts, swimming instruction, and adventure! Special activities and visiting performers enhance the usual routine throughout the summer. Long Ridge Camp is truly a special place for making friends and memories that last a lifetime!


Rising Star Horse

Rising Starr Horse Rescue saves, rehabilitates, retrains, and rehomes abandoned, neglected, or abused horses. They educate the public about at-risk horses and the importance of protecting them. Giving America’s horses a second chance at life allows the community to experience the love, patience, and compassion horses have for humans. They offer programs for children of all ages.


Camp Sloane YMCA

Camp Sloane YMCA is everything kids are looking for in a summer camp. First is the beautiful camp setting with views of the Berkshires and beyond – kids love being ‘unplugged’ and having the experience of being surrounded by this level of nature. Then there’s the amazing choice of activities – everything from sailing to horseback riding to climbing and dancing. There is so much for campers to choose from, and their days will be filled with fun activities and great new friends, while their nights will be filled with fireside stories, lightning bugs, and s’mores. Sleepaway camp should always be this good, and counselors from all over the world are excited to welcome your child to Camp Sloane this summer!


Spr golf camp.
SPRGolf Jr. Academy is a summer clinic by Stephen Roach and staff at Fairchild Wheeler Golf Course in Fairfield, CT. The Signature PGA camp curriculum focuses on developing golf skills (full swing, short game, rules, and etiquette) while keeping the experience fun and engaging (games and activities). Sessions run weekly for ten consecutive weeks, offering half and full-day clinics. Students get on-course play time, instruction at the driving range, indoor video room tips, short game practice, and lots of fun drills. Clinics are limited to 20 students per session and will have a 6 to 1 ratio. Clinic dates go from Monday, June 17, through Friday, August 23. No classes on Juneteenth or Fourth of July!


Tips on Trips and Camps is a free advisory service connecting families to overnight summer camps, trips, academic programs, and other unique experiences. SHU Discovery summer camp
SHU Discovery Science Center and Planetarium believe in the importance of providing hands-on STEAM learning experiences that resonate with children’s natural curiosity and love of learning. FCCC Music Camp
FCCC Music Camp is an immersive experience for children entering second through seventh grade who want to pursue a passion for choral singing! This one-week camp will promote personal growth as a singer, performance skills, and healthy vocal technique development. Together campers will celebrate the joy of music-making through rehearsals, creative movement, singing games, and folk dances from around the world with FCCC conductors. The week will conclude with a concert performance for families and friends! The camp will take place at Stratfield ES in Fairfield from June 24-June 28, from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. The cost is $400, $375 for current FCCC members. Space is limited!


Camp Kippewa

Camp Kippewa Point is a two-week camp experience for girls ages 6-13! Their warm and nurturing environment offers girls a classic camp experience with a set beginning, middle, and end. Their hybrid approach to scheduling allows Kippewa Point campers to explore everything they have to offer while also giving them a chance to spend extra time doing the activities they are excited to explore. At Kippewa Point, they intentionally work to develop connections between campers. They know that deep and meaningful relationships with camp friends and staff help foster growth, confidence, resilience, and a sense of belonging. At the end of their two weeks, they hope that girls have gained confidence, become more independent, feel proud of their accomplishments, and feel like the Point is their second family!


Ridgefield Academy
Join Ridgefield Academy/Landmark Preschool this summer! RA/LP’s 2024 Summer Programs include a variety of offerings that will appeal to preschool through grade 8 children. Whether it’s morning, afternoon, or a full-day session, RA/LP offers exciting learning opportunities and classic summer camp fun for everyone! Explore new possibilities with their Explorer Programs, designed for students entering grades 4-8. Choose from various activities like sports, science, baking, and more! JCC of Greater New Haven
At JCC Day Camps, helping children expand their horizons, hone their social skills, and develop leadership skills—all while having the time of their lives—is key to a successful camp experience. Nested on a sprawling 54-acre campus in Woodbridge, the camp’s outstanding facility includes an outdoor pool, a stage, sports fields, hiking trails, a low ropes course, an arts and crafts area, a volleyball court, picnic areas, and more. Center Stage Theatre Camp

Center Stage Theatre is offering summer camp for students entering grades K-8 who love to sing, dance, and act! Options include Rising Stars: Growing Up Broadway (grades K-2) and Disney Dreams! (grades 3-8), Broadway Showstoppers! (grades 3-8), Rising Stars: Broadway Kids! (grades K-2). Center Stage Theatre is an inclusive and intergenerational community-based theatre providing high-quality and affordable performances, educational programming, volunteer opportunities, and community collaborations. Located in Shelton, Connecticut, the theatre produces five full-scale productions a year, including its annual summer musical featuring high school and college-aged actors and year-round theatre education for students grades K-12, summer camps, and limited-run special events. Celebrating its 19th season in 2024, Center Stage Theatre is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization attracting actors, crew members, and audiences from throughout Connecticut and was named “Best Community Theater” by Connecticut Magazine’s “Best of CT 2022” round-up. The Harvey School Camp

Harvey Summer Camp offers various programs, allowing your children to choose from many options on one sprawling campus featuring open fields, wooded trails, state-of-the-art facilities, an outdoor swimming pool, and an indoor ice rink! Day Camp for Grades 2-8: Campers will enjoy activities in the arts, sports, science, and theater, as well as games and camp-wide events. The wide variety of offerings allows campers to explore different interests while introducing them to new activities. Rising 1st graders and 9th graders: Campers entering first grade in September can enjoy a program of fun and exploration designed just for them! Young teens entering high school this fall will enjoy a program created to let them have a summer of fun before the rigors of high school begin. Harvey’s youngest and oldest campers will surely enjoy a summer to remember! Art Camp, Sports Camp: Campers entering Grades 5-8 can take a more in-depth approach to explore their interests in the arts or sports! Camps run from July 1 through August 9, 2024, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. They are closed on July 4 & 5.


Make this summer a time to discover new skills, explore new subjects, and have fun. Register your child today for Summer Institute (SI) at King, where Kindergarten-Grade 12 are taught in small classes by King’s outstanding teachers and coaches. Middle and high school classes allow students to pursue their academic passions and accelerate their progress in the next academic year. Classes vary from three weeks to six weeks. Tim morehouse
The Tim Morehouse Fencing Club summer camps are a great way for children from the greater Fairfield County area to learn about fencing while having fun at the same time. With experienced coaches and a safe environment, these camps provide an excellent opportunity for kids to develop their skills while making new friends. Moms who have enrolled their children at Tim Morehouse Fencing Club have loved the experience and raved about the impact the sport of fencing has had on their children! The club is led by Olympic fencer and coach Tim Morehouse, who has over 20 years of experience in the sport. He and his team of coaches provide top-notch instruction in all three weapons (foil, epee, and saber), footwork drills, strategy, and mental training. With a focus on safety, respect for others, and having fun while learning the sport of fencing, moms can ensure their children are in good hands at Tim Morehouse Fencing Club camps.

Greenwich A Cappella
Love to sing? Fairfield A Cappella Camp uses fun and engaging methods to teach your singer how to perform with confidence! Learn vocal technique while building new friendships and singing popular songs you love. Each week-long session ends with a special camp performance. Presented by Greenwich A Cappella, learn more about the camp here and check out the music videos to see why the Fairfield A Cappella Camp is perfect for you! Fairfield A Cappella Camp is from July 8-12 at Fairfield Grace Church. No previous experience is needed; singers of all levels are welcome. Grouped by age, the Fairfield A Cappella Camp program is perfect for all rising kindergarten through sixth graders that love to sing. You can choose a half-day camp from 12:30 – 3:30 p.m. or a full-day camp from 9:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Join them for the end-of-camp performance to see all your singers have learned! Take advantage of the Early Bird rate until March 15, 2024. Limited spots are available.



Preschool is out, and it’s time for Intro to Orchestra Camp! Join Eugene’s Music & Learning Studio for art, dance, and music. Your child will spend the week crafting musical instruments, dancing with partners and in groups, and meeting the instruments of the orchestra. Each week will feature a different theme! Please bring a light snack (crackers, goldfish, water); they will take a short break each day. For children ages 3-6 years (fully potty-trained), the camp runs from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Opportunities to meet private-lesson teachers will be available. Registration is by week! Campers can join for one or two weeks.
