It’s hard to believe it, but fall is knocking on our doors! Kids are back to school (parents rejoice), the sweaters come out of storage, it becomes acceptable to flavor everything with pumpkin spice, and the smell of turning leaves is all around us. Another aspect of my love for fall is the fun festivals in our surrounding Connecticut towns.

Berlin Fair – September 11-14

Guilford Fair – September 19-21

- $10 for adults, $8 for seniors, veterans, and active military, and children under 11 are free
Seymour Pumpkin Festival – September 21

- Sunday: 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Durham Fair – September 25-28
- Durham Fairgrounds, 70 Maple Avenue, Durham
- Thursday: 4:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.; $10 for adults, active military, wheelchair attendees, and children under 11 are free
- Friday: 9:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m., Saturday: 9:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m., Sunday: 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.; $18 for adults, $11 for seniors, active military, wheelchair attendees, and children under 11 are free

Newtown Arts Festival – September 26-28

Southington Apple Harvest Festival – October 3-5 & October 10-12
