Once you become a mother, you realize EVERYTHING changes, even your hair! From my thick luscious locks while pregnant to hair loss and lack of time and energy after my babies were born, my hair has never been the same…even 12+ years later. That’s why finding the perfect hairstylist is essential to get you back on track.

Enter Imogene and her talented staff at Alchemy, The Salon. As a mother, she understands the stress we moms are under and the importance of looking and feeling good.

A Fairfield native, Imogene has spent nearly two decades behind the chair and is committed to bringing out the inner beauty in each of her clients. Imogene specializes in dimensional color and balayage painting techniques, leaving your hair looking sunkissed, lived-in, and natural, whether dark or light! She loves cutting short hair (bobs, lobs, and pixies) and doing a lot of razor work to create trendy, flattering shapes. Imogene knows hair color like the back of her hand, as she used to educate for a well-known worldwide color brand before she had her daughter, Adalyn, who is the essence of her being.

Imogene strives to ensure that all clients don’t feel like they are a number in a busy, crowded salon. The entire staff prides themselves on being client-centered and wants everyone who walks through the door to feel pampered and cared for.Stylists at Alchemy the Salon.

Come as you are. Get cozy. Leave better.

The salon recently transitioned to an hourly rate instead of a-la-cart services, which creates transparent pricing. Your session includes all the services you need within the time frame booked. You will know how much you pay before you even come to your appointment. The salon is gratuity-free, so no more mental math and worrying about whether or not you have cash.
I’ve been a client of Imogene’s for over two years, and I always look forward to sitting in her chair. She has perfected my hair color and can cover all my gray! She also uses a fast-color that I only have to sit for 15 minutes to make my sessions quick and easy. Not only does she make my hair look great, but I enjoy her company, and she’s become a great friend. As a mother of a special needs daughter, she has an amazing perspective on motherhood. She is such a strong, hardworking mama who has the biggest heart.

Imogene has created something more than just a salon and is a leader in her industry. She supports her staff, offers unlimited time off, the freedom to create a specialty that fits their talents, and encourages women to charge their worth. She understands how crucial it is to create a work-life balance and offers coaching and opportunities for unlimited growth. What working mama doesn’t love that!?
