Waveny Park {New Canaan}

This expansive park has three miles of running trails and well manicured gardens. It is perfect for snowshoeing and cross-country skiing.

Cranbury Park {Norwalk}

Cranbury Park is a 227-acre park with wooded trails and picturesque views of Gallaher Mansion. There is one flat 1.5-mile loop around a river, making it perfect for a snowshoe.

Randalls Farm Preserve {Easton}

This is a 34-acre preserve with trails and plenty of open space. The area is flat with decent parking.

New Pond Farm {Redding}

The open pastures are a good place for cross-country skiing and snowshoeing.

Connecticut Audobon {Fairfield}

Gillette Castle State Park in East Haddam has an easy trail system beyond the medieval castle backdrop. They earn extra points for the fantasy-like setting.

White Memorial in Litchfield offers 4,000 acres and a massive trail system. Snowshoeing and hiking here never gets old.

Pratt Nature Center in New Milford has miles of snowshoeing trails, making it perfect for families.
