Entrepreneurs in the 203

EntrepreneursFairfield County is filled with some pretty amazing, business-savvy, boss ladies and gentlemen. These awesome people not only work hard, but they also have businesses that are taking Fairfield County (and beyond) by storm! Here is a little information about their businesses and the hustlers behind the brands!

Candy Connection

One of my kids’ favorites! This Willy Wonka-inspired venture started with a candy truck and a dream! Margaux Marena brought all the rage to birthday parties, so much so that she soon expanded to two trucks! As of the summer of 2025, Candy Connection has a storefront on Soundview Avenue in Old Greenwich. Make sure you satisfy your sweet tooth and the kid in you by stopping by!

Marea

Liz Joy is from my hometown, and there is nothing cooler than watching someone from your hometown succeed. Marea is a clothing brand that draws inspiration from the ebb and flow of the tides, creating timeless, feminine pieces for the modern woman. Their pieces blend classic elegance with contemporary ease, designed to move effortlessly with you through every season. Marea takes measurable steps toward building a more sustainable world through thoughtful design, intentional production, philanthropy, and a commitment to empowering women. Who doesn’t love that? Marea can be found online, or there is a storefront in Fairfield!

Real Cookies Co.

Lauren and Marla are lifelong friends who wanted to share cookies that everyone in their families could eat, despite dietary restrictions or allergies. They couldn’t find any that tasted like the real thing, so we created the best-tasting healthy cookies ourselves! The cookies are just pure, simple ingredients made with love by REAL friends, so we can all enjoy! My kids and I absolutely love the cookies-and-cream flavor, and I don’t have to cringe when they ask for them. Seriously delicious!

RISE Brewing Co.

While the company’s operations originally started in NYC, Stamford is now the home base for the nitro-brewed coffee. They created RISE Brewing Co. because they were tired of coffee products loaded with sugar, calories, harmful chemicals, and words they couldn’t spell. Using the highest-quality organic ingredients they could source, they quickly became one of my go-to drinks when I need a pick-me-up. You can find it at most local grocery stores in CT, and if you can’t, it’s available online.

Hey Stamford-Brick & Mortar

What started as an Instagram handle to learn about all things Stamford soon turned into a blog that the Stamford community could use to find out about all things Stamford. Creator of Hey Stamford, PJ Kennedy, then took it a step further by securing space in Stamford Town Center to open a brick-and-mortar store where he films his podcast and where locals can find merch to represent their neighborhoods and the city as a whole!

The Two Oh Three

The Two Oh Three is a home-grown start-up company launched by Tory and Roscoe Brown, a brother-sister duo from Fairfield County. They sell trendy Connecticut-themed products to help customers rock their state pride! All of their products, which are all locally designed and printed here in Connecticut, embody the lifestyle of our active and vibrant community. As a brand, The Two Oh Three is passionate about shopping small, eating local, and embracing everything that our community has to offer. The brand comes to life through its social media platforms, where it visually fosters the essence of a CT lifestyle. If you are like me and want to check out the items prior to purchasing, you can visit their storefront in Fairfield!

Stosh’s Kettle Corn

Founded in Brookfield, CT. This snack is something that you want to get your hands on! Every batch is hand-popped to golden perfection using non-GMO kernels and pure cane sugar, with no artificial ingredients or sweeteners. Their kettle corn is crafted in a nut-free facility and is gluten-free and vegan, making it a worry-free snack for everyone to enjoy. Inspired by the timeless charm of county fairs, each bite brings you back to days filled with Ferris wheels, carnival games, and the sweet smell of kettle corn in the air. Every kernel crunches just right, delivering joy from their small kitchen to your hands!

YNG

YNG is a local unisex clothing brand created and designed by Norwalk native Ryan Trimboli. YNG was started by Ryan as a means of creative expression in his freshman year of high school (which was just last year)! YNG’s merch is current, expressive, and always evolving. Now, only a sophomore in high school, Ryan is working to bring his website to the masses by the end of the year. It’s his mission to deliver unique products that inspire people of all ages to add fresh gear to their closets.

Seven Continents Candles

Each of their products is lovingly handcrafted in small batches in Ansonia, Connecticut, ensuring unmatched attention to detail and quality. As a one-woman show, Lauren Cirkot takes pride in creating unique, artisanal candles and fragrances that reflect both her passion for travel and dedication to craftsmanship. By choosing to produce in small quantities, she maintains exceptional standards and provides a personal touch to each item, making them truly one-of-a-kind. Lauren’s commitment to this craft not only supports local production but also ensures that every product you purchase carries a piece of her heart and the spirit of adventure.

Please remember to shop small and local. We have some fantastic local brands! You never know what gems you will find!
