The owner, Jordan Ranney, is the answer to all our prayers. He is a dad of two young kids (ages 3 and 4) who has been in the mechanic business for over ten years. The idea for the Mobile Mechanic came to him about a year ago when he realized, as a parent of young children, how hard it can be to arrange car maintenance.
With his wife’s support, Jordan started his business. He is a professional who brings back the olden days of businesses; he actually talks to his customers, listens to their needs, and truly gets pleasure out of helping others. The best part is that he comes to you AND works weekends!!!
When Jordan arrived at my house at 9:30 a.m. on a Saturday, it was a wonderful experience from the start. After a quick conversation to get to know me and the car he would be working on, I could continue doing things I needed to get done around the house while Jordan got to work.
My three-year-old car lover sat in the window watching the whole time; it was a double win! In about an hour, my car was completed, my laundry was drying, and my son got a quick lesson in mechanics. Don’t be fooled that this was a less-than-thorough job. Jordan did everything my drop-off mechanics do: topped off windshield wiper fluid, checked and filled tires, and changed the oil. He also told me he has rented out space for more intense jobs; there’s nothing Jordan can’t do!
