Fairfield County has several acting and musical theatre programs for young kids. Most programs culminate with an end-of-training performance. Get them signed up solo or with siblings and friends to nurture the theatre bug early.
The Studio for Performing Arts in New Cannan offers classes and summer camps for pre-k through eighth grade.
Black Rock Theatre in Fairfield offers week-long summer camp sessions that culminate in a Friday performance at the end of the week. They also offer 12-week programs during the school year.
Westport Country Playhouse in Westport offers a pre-k through twelfth-grade curriculum, which includes acting for the camera and activating your voice.
Crystal Theatre in Norwalk has performance groups for ages four through first grade, grades 2–5, grades 3–8, and grades 6-12.
Wilton Children’s Theatre in Wilton offers summer stage programs for Wilton residents only.
Fairfield Performing Arts in Fairfield provides classes and summer camp offerings. Small group classes consist of improvisation games, scene study, movement, technique, character development, audition preparation, and voice and diction.
Music Theatre of CT is a school of performing arts in Norwalk. It is known for its theatre and dance classes, student productions, and renowned college-bound performing arts program.
Center Stage Theatre in Shelton offers summer stage and afterschool theatre courses with a full-scale production for 2–12 graders.
