Perhaps the saddest part of my research for this post was the number of responses I received along the lines of, “I can’t remember the last time I was able to go to Happy Hour due to sports, activities, family commitments, etc.”
So first, ladies, I hope this inspires you to prioritize going to Happy Hour with friends! You might even be able to go between sports drop-off and pick-up!
Sugo Gastrobar {Sandy Hook}
This cozy, modern Italian bistro, located in the heart of Sandy Hook Center, offers rich flavors, fresh cocktails, and a great wine selection. Glasses of wine and beer are half-price, specialty cocktails are $8, and the food offerings are delicious, ranging from charcuterie to meatballs with polenta, arancini, and pasta bowls. You can’t go wrong, and the prices are perfect for a tasting with a date or friends!

Mangia Mi East {Sandy Hook}
The third location from acclaimed chef Rebecca White recently opened in Sandy Hook Center. It offers homemade pasta from scratch daily and an ever-changing chalkboard menu based on in-season flavors. Happy Hour offerings change as well, but the arancini is a personal favorite.
Daily 4-6 p.m. and all day Wednesdays.
Geronimo Tequila Bar & Southwest Grill {Fairfield}
One of three locations of this specialized tequila bar featuring cuisine from Sante Fe, New Mexico, the small plates and drink specials make it a must-go! Margaritas, Sangria, and glasses of wine are all half-price. Personal favorites here are the carnitas taquitos and chef’s empanadas.

Sophie’s Pizza Bar {Fairfield}
The happy hour menu features small plates and drink specials. With the Happy Hour pricing, you can sample multiple menu items at a reasonable price, such as the eggplant rollatini.

This new wine bar in New Fairfield offers a casual wine bar experience. It offers charcuterie boards alongside an extensive wine menu.

Brookfield Social {Brookfield}
Recently opened, Brookfield Social is a local sports bar with American fare. It offers a special Happy Hour menu with various appetizer offerings, including sliders, nachos, guac and chips, tacos, and more! The bar also offers a variety of drink specials!

Old Post Tavern {Fairfield}
Moms enjoy the drink specials and menu selections for Happy Hour here, which include flatbreads, appetizers, and small plates.
