Living with babies and toddlers can be overwhelming when you constantly worry about feeding, napping, changing, and chasing them around. Mommy (or Daddy) and Me classes can be a great source of enrichment for the little ones and a great way for you to socialize. They also give you a reason to leave the house and breathe fresh air!
After my son came home from the hospital, he had a lot of appointments, so we were constantly running around. When he was around seven months old, I decided to enroll him in a Music Together class. It was a nice relief to get out and take him to something fun where he could relax and enjoy, rather than a doctor or therapist visits. Then, when my daughter was ready, I enrolled her in classes at Music Together, and my husband took her swimming at the YMCA. This created a nice schedule in our house, and we looked forward to these activities with the kids.
Our town library also became a wonderful place to visit, and I’ve met some great friends from going to classes there. Most libraries have free storytime programs for babies and toddlers. They are such a great resource.
There are so many Mommy (or Daddy) and Me classes available in Fairfield County. There may be something for you based on what interests you or what you think your little one would like. Can you attend these classes if you are just a seasonal renter in Westport? Do you have classes and support groups for mothers of multiples?

I would imagine so, some may just have some summer sessions. You can always call and ask for a trial class as well. I believe there is a twin moms group at Willow Pediatrics, you might want to give them a call. And if you sign-up for a class ask about a twin discount, some locations give them. Music Together definitely does which is great! Also, quite a few of us who contribute to FCMB are twin moms as well, including myself. Please feel free to reach out with any questions!
