My Favorite Asian Food Restaurants in Fairfield County

An assortment of Asian food.Asian cuisine has become one of my favorites to indulge in when we go out to eat. There are many excellent restaurant options within Fairfield County.

When it comes to Chinese food, Ginkgo Sichuan and Shu in Fairfield are my favorites, as well as Wild Rice in Norwalk. All have great authentic dishes. At Ginkgo, we always order the Dan Dan Noodles. Shu has many good options, but Sizzling Tofu in black bean sauce for vegetable lovers and the Fish Filet Dry Pot Delight is amazing. At Wild Rice, the Orange Chicken is top-notch!

There are a ton of good Indian options nearby, including Coromandel in Darien, Newtown, and Stamford, Taj in Fairfield, and Saffron in Norwalk. Coromandel’s menu has something for everyone. For those just dipping their toes into Indian, their Tandoori Chicken Wings are full of flavor from a medley of different spices. For Taj, get a combination of Mangalorean Shrimp and Chicken Tikka Masala. Check out the Vegetable Pakoras and the Lamb Vindaloo or Saag Goat at Saffron.

If you want delicious Japanese, check out Shiki Hana in Fairfield or Oko in Westport. All serve great sushi across different price points. I also really love FinII in Stamford and Fin in Fairfield. Try the Lovely Couple roll. It is probably one of the best rolls I have ever tasted!

If you are looking for Vietnamese, I recommend Mecha with locations in Norwalk, Stamford, and Fairfield or Pho Saigon (Bridgeport). These restaurants are absolutely delicious and really hit the spot on the cold winter nights that are coming up. The best dish, in my opinion, is a bowl of Pork Pho.

The number one asked for take-out food in my house is Thai food. Not only do my husband and I love it, but two of our three children love it as well. Our favorites include Little Buddha in Stamford, and Rainbow Thai in Wesport/Norwalk line. Some of our go-to items for our ordering are the Por Pia Tod (veggie rolls), Drunken Noodle (the spicier, the better), Pad Thai, and Massaman (red curry).

A new Korean restaurant just opened in Stamford, and it’s delicious! If you like Korean, please be sure to check out Ginger Seoul. The Bulgogi and Kimchi are delicious! Another delightful option for Korean BBQ is Love Meat Korean, also located in Stamford. It is all you can eat, allowing you to try everything!

Sometimes, the only way to keep everyone happy is to go for some Asian Fusion. If you would like Malaysian, you should check out Mama Chow in Fairfield and Eat Noodle in Bridgeport. Another great Asian fusion spot is Asiana Bistro in Stamford. These fusion spots are great for families who like Asian food but can’t agree on which type!

There is currently only Filipino restaurant nearby, but it is delicious. Zul Café and Grill in Norwalk has great Sisig and delicious BBQ Chicken. And Every Thursday, they offer new special dishes – whatever it is, order it!

When it comes to Hawaiian, definitely check out Pokemoto. There are many locations, including Fairfield, Stamford, and Norwalk. And if you have never had Tibetan food before (it is like a cross-over between Indian and Chinese), drive up to Middletown and go to Tibetan Kitchen. They have many vegan options and even make a few different types of noodles for their soups.

Whatever Asian food you may be craving, Fairfield County has an option for you! All are fresh, delicious, and comforting.
