A boy picking a pumpkin.I look forward to the fall months when the leaves on the trees change from green to vibrant reds and yellows. We are quickly reminded of how fast the seasons change. The fall months bring cooler weather, making outdoor trips around Fairfield County enjoyable for families. Some of my favorite activities are visiting the farms for apple picking, hayrides, wine tastings, and pumpkins!

I have explored some great pumpkin patches in Fairfield County to visit in the fall. Grab a sweater and bring some large reusable bags to fill with fresh fruit and vegetables. Here are my top picks.

At Benedict’s Home and Garden, you will enjoy their beautiful fall mums that are in season. The garden store offers so many colors to choose from along with your gardening essentials. You will indeed find your fall pumpkin too. This is a great weekend stop for the entire family as they offer a straw maze, hayrides, and more. They also have a Cow’s Path Nature Trail. Some of the activities require tickets, so it is recommended that you call ahead to check the availability of the activities.
