It’s no secret that I’ve always wanted a Volvo.
I recently moved a lot farther away from my work, so with the hours I clock simply commuting every day, I absolutely have to love the car I drive. As a speech-language pathologist, mother to three children, and stepmother to two more children, my car is essentially my office.
As a blended family of seven people, my car must comfortably and safely fit all the kids and their stuff, and be functional and stylish. I think that’s a pretty tall order!
The 7-passenger Volvo XC90 from Riley Volvo Cars Stamford fits the bill!
I’ve driven a few older models of this car, and every time, it’s better than the last. This year, we were so lucky to drive the XC90 during the first couple of days of our spring break. Not only did we not have to go to school (I work in my twins’ elementary school!), but we were able to enjoy our staycation close to home with this beautiful car.
This model is my absolute favorite to date. When I arrived at Riley Volvo Cars Stamford, the staff was courteous and helpful. The waiting room was also stylish, inviting, and stocked with snacks and beverages!
When I got into the car, I was immediately impressed by the large screen. It’s super clear and even stands out compared to anything I’ve ever driven, even previous models of the XC90. The car is spacious inside, and the body style is beautiful.
Volvo’s safety features are unparalleled. During spring break this year, we took a trip to the Bearsdley Zoo immediately after we picked up the car. Driving on the Merritt Parkway and parking in a busy parking lot can be stressful, but with safety features like blind spot sensors, lane assist, and the large, clear backup camera, even driving in traffic and backing into a space was a breeze. The car also has sensors to let the driver know when the passengers have buckled their seat belts. This saved me so much time asking everyone if they were buckled!
The integrated booster seat was amazing for us, as well. All four of our girls took turns trying it out. I felt good about them sitting there because the seat belt was the perfect height to keep them safe.
We give “fully loaded” a new meaning when we can fit all seven of us in one car without forfeiting cargo space, safety, functionality, or style. The Volvo XC90 is the perfect fully loaded car for a large family.
Safety, practicality, and beauty are three things I want in a car, and the Volvo XC90 fits the bill. From Stamford to Bridgeport to Monroe and everywhere in between, this car is definitely on the shortlist when we are looking for our next vehicle!
