Hi, I’m Michelle. Let me clarify that with the letter G. I moved to Stamford last year after my husband became a resident physician at Stamford Hospital. We have three children who fill our lives with excitement, joy, and utter chaos.
Due to my husband’s education (and my wanderlust), we have spent the last four years on a worldwide adventure with our two (now three) children. We have moved from Arizona to England, to Grenada (a tiny Caribbean island), to Brooklyn, and now are excited to put down roots in my childhood home of Connecticut. We have already fallen in love with Fairfield County’s crunchy fall leaves, beautiful Long Island Sound sunsets, and an endless supply of family-friendly cities.

Our kids are our hearts. Luke is our responsible, rule-following six-year-old. He is creative, intelligent, and determined to be a paleontologist. Harper is our four-year-old fireball. She is full of life, loves art and princesses, and will challenge anyone to a foot race. Our baby Conway is our sunshine. He brings so much joy to our family with his constant smile and crazy, cow-licked hair.
Now that I have told you a little about my family let me introduce myself by sharing a few things I am not…
I am not afraid of heights.
I am an adventurer who loves skydiving, zip-lining, and rock climbing. My most recent endeavor was flying trapeze lessons, which I highly recommend (no pun intended).
I am not a stranger to embarrassing motherhood moments.
Such times include clumsily trying to nurse in public with multiple wardrobe malfunctions or locking my newborn in the car and having to call the fire department to get him out. As a mother of young children, I have realized I am never far from humiliation. Luckily, I have learned to apologize when needed, smile through the embarrassment, and laugh it off later with my husband.
I am not just a mom.
Whether I am a working mom, student mom, or stay-at-home mom, I know I am not just a mom. While my kids are the center of my life, I am a person with many layers. I am a historian, teacher, writer, reader, humanitarian, photographer, reality-show enthusiast, and Ben and Jerry’s addict. I love being a mom and sharing these aspects of myself with my children.
I am not a minimalist, a runner, or good at cooking.
But these are all things I hope to improve this year. I know I have come to the right place since I have learned so much from my fellow Fairfield County Moms. I look forward to many years of relating to, learning from, and laughing with this amazing group of women.

Welcome!
Thanks Allison!
