Indoor Play Spaces in Fairfield County

Kids on an indoor slide. If we moms have learned anything these past couple of years, it’s that being stuck in the house with our kids for days on end isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. I can only be an entertainment director for so long. On nice days, my kids will happily play outside for hours. But when it’s freezing or raining, that’s just not appealing to any of us.

Some suggestions below are new discoveries for our family, while others are tried and true spots for indoor fun.

Yale Peabody Museum (New Haven): This spot is scheduled to re-open in Spring 2024.

Discovery Museum (Bridgeport): Check out the ever-changing indoor exhibits.

The Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum (Ridgefield): Every fourth Saturday is a fun family day.

Nutmeg Bowl (Fairfield): A great party venue and a spot to spend a few hours with bowling,  food, and a  bar. Also, check out the upstairs indoor play space with inflatables and games.
