2026 Summer Author Visits

2

An author signing a book. One of my favorite summer things to do, and I’m sure it is for many, is to read a good book outside. That’s why we have summer reads and beach reads, right?

Over the years, we have written a list of must-reads and great local bookstores! However, meeting and listening to the authors is another element to add to the summer reading experience.

Just beyond Fairfield County in Madison, CT, RJ Julia has many author visits lined up for the summer. Take a look hereAdditionally, Bank Square Books in Mystic has several visits scheduled; find their schedule here.

These events are always fun; you get to ask the authors questions and get some insight into their books. The events are usually free, and you can purchase a book if you like. If there is a charge, you typically receive a copy of the author’s new book. Additionally, follow these bookstores and your local libraries, as other events may arise throughout the summer.

  1. Sorry for your loss. In 1969, my daughter was born with heart disease and survived for 8 months. Losing a child is not usually talked about. I’m grateful you put it out there because grieving parents need to know they are not alone.

    • Hi Gail,

Thank you and thank you for sharing! It really isn’t, but I try to be as open about it as I can, it’s not easy!

      Take Care,
      Caroline
